Hello and welcome to Hive Music Festival Week 151 Round 1! My name is @rishagamo, and with me here and always is my dear friend @oluthomas, who is helping play the Guitar.
In this week’s concert, I will be singing the cover of “Fill Me Up” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
Tasha Cobbs, an American songwriter, singer, and Gospel Minister born 7th July 1981.
The song “Fill me up” talks about how the songwriter surrenders all to God, asking God to fill her up with His Spirit, let her be the sacrifice for His service, and she is ready to open up inside for Him to come in and be the lead of her life. To be full simply means to be filled with something, being full till one overflows. Here is talking about having the spirit of God sufficiently and having no room for any other thing but the spirit of God. The song is a song that calls for more of God, having God’s Spirit in surplus to be filled and do exploits for God. In this song, the author calls out to God to anoint her again, making the song a song of revival.
Having the spirit of God fill you is what all believers should clamour for and should be their heart's cry every day. We as children of God should always include this in our prayers to be filled with the Spirit of God until we are in overflow of Him, having no other space for nothing but His Spirit, letting it be our heart cry every day and time.
