Correct. No downvotes. A moderation group reviews articles, questions users, and if the article doesn't meet the AAT guidelines, then a mute can be applied to the article. Multiple violations can lead to increasingly longer periods of muting until the mute becomes indefinite.
Actions of muting gets reported to the community on a regular basis as a means of communicating these actions and reaching out to the affected content creators.

Yes, of course. That's the most important part for me. VYB's policies alone won't work to protect the platform from cross-content creators trying to milk the system or commit fraud.

I don't know what to tell you on that example. VYB was coded to not have a DV button. Do you have a link?

Ah. I understand now. It's his opinion, however, his comment has merit based upon what I've learned. The trick to making VYB work will be community engagement and reporting. It's up to us to make it work. That's MY opinion.

Oh. There’s no merit in adding it to the tribe. It won’t happen in this tribe. Not if trostparadox has anything to say about it. It’s the whole reason why he created VYB. Anyone can create a hard fork and create a different tribe with enough cash. It won’t be trost though. I guarantee it.

I feel I contributed to this confusion. So, let me try again if you don't mind. I kind of agree with onealfa on the DV topic. However, DVs will NOT be a part of VYB. The concept is new and part of the tribe.
I don’t agree with adding a downvote button at all. It is totally abused by 3 people on Hive. If Hive is to survive the Downvote button must be removed. Or Hive will die.
