A basket of joy from your own rooftop garden, the experience of picking fresh tomatoes.
Warm greetings to everyone. I hope you are all well. Today I would like to share with you a special moment from my rooftop garden. The greatest reward for a gardener is to harvest the fruits from the plants he has nurtured with care. Today was such a joyful day for me, because today I collected several fresh tomatoes from my garden.
A few days ago, when I planted the small tomato seedlings in the tub, I started taking care of them. Getting up every morning and watering the plants, checking if any insects have caught them, and seeing the new leaf buds is like a different kind of addiction. Slowly the plants started growing and eventually the garden was filled with yellow flowers. When small green tomatoes started peeking out from the chest of those flowers, I realized that my hard work was going to be worthwhile.
The feeling of harvesting from the trees:
This morning was wonderful. When the sunlight fell on the tomato plants, the mixture of red and green created a beautiful scene. As I picked the tomatoes with the basket in my hand, I felt a strange sense of peace. Only a garden lover will understand the difference between vegetables bought from the market and vegetables grown by one's own hands.
As you can see in the pictures, some tomatoes are still green on the plant, while others have ripened and turned bright red. This transformation process is an extraordinary gift of nature. These tomatoes, grown completely organically without any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, are not only beautiful to look at, but their taste and nutritional value will also be unique.
Finding a piece of green in the urban mechanical life is difficult. But even if you have a small roof or balcony, it is possible to grow some vegetables there effortlessly. It is not only good for mental health, but also a great source of getting poison-free vegetables. When I took these tomatoes in the basket, I honestly cannot express the feeling in words. It seemed that my fatigue from the whole day had disappeared in an instant.
This little garden of mine is not just a hobby, it is my haven of peace. It is the responsibility of all of us to love and care for nature.
