Animal Husbandry in Urban Environment: Our Native Cow Surviving Against Adversity

In today's mechanical age, when we are chasing technology, we still see some scenes around us that remind us of our roots. Today, I will share with you a familiar scene from my area, a dairy cow and the story of her struggle for life.
Such cows are often seen in our area. However, over time, their lifestyle has changed a lot. In the past, the main food of cows was the green grass of the field. But with urbanization and the increasing crowd of buildings, green grass or pastures are no longer available as before. To be honest, these cows now have very little opportunity to get grass.
They have also adapted to nature. To make up for the lack of grass, their main diet now includes various types of hay, husk and rice husks. Apart from this, they are raised by feeding them kheil and other artificial nutrients. The amazing thing is that even though they do not get enough grass, they provide us with a lot of milk based on this diverse food to meet our daily nutritional needs.
The cows you see in the picture are raised with great care by a neighbor next door. For him, this is not just a hobby, but the main source of livelihood. He runs his entire family by selling the milk of these cows. The well-being of a family is maintained only through the tireless work of one person and the contribution of these helpless animals.
Lately, I have noticed that due to proper care and timely feeding, the cows have become much healthier than before. Looking at their skin, it is clear that it is possible to get good results if you take good care of them even in adverse environments.
This animal husbandry is a very important part of our rural economy. When I see such healthy cows even in these grassless concrete jungles, I am amazed at the ability of nature to survive. We should take more care of these animals and encourage those who are working hard to raise them.
