Silent changes in the banking sector.

At present, a kind of silent change is being observed in the economic situation of our country and the banking sector. Especially, a kind of crisis or crisis of money is being felt in the daily transactions of the common people. There is no common reason behind this crisis, rather a major policy change in the country's currency management is acting as its main driving force.

We know that almost all the large notes in the market so far had the image of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. However, according to the decision and plan of the current government, the notes with this image are being gradually withdrawn from the market. The government wants these old notes not to come into the market again. Instead, the process of releasing completely new designed currency in the market has started.

Due to this major change, some temporary complications have arisen in the banking sector and especially in the ATM booths. Whenever old notes are deposited in a bank or ATM booth, they are no longer being supplied for public use as per the instructions of the central bank. As a result, there is a kind of shortage of liquid money or cash notes in the market.

To understand the real picture, we need to pay attention to some things within the banking service.

The internal cassette and counting device of the ATM booth are open, where bundles of 1,000 taka notes are arranged. Bank officials have to work constantly to maintain such technical maintenance and adapt the booths to the new notes. Similarly, we can see a functioning ATM booth of an Islamic bank with the message Please wait displayed on the screen and some money visible in the cash dispensing slot below. Both these images prove that banks are trying their best to keep their services running.

Changing a currency system is a very complex and time-consuming matter. The central bank has to go through several processes to completely remove the old money from the market and introduce the equivalent amount of new money into the market. It is normal for the common people to experience some confusion or suffering during this transition period. However, it is hoped that when the new design money comes into the market in sufficient quantities, this crisis will end and the country's economic transactions will return to their previous dynamics. We all have to be patient and have faith in the banking system during this transition.

This was my arrangement for today. I hope you liked the pictures I took and the nature observations. Wishing everyone good health, I bid you farewell here today.
