Smile on a child's face: Handmade paper robot.
Assalamu Alaikum, friends of the Hive community.
As a father, the biggest challenge for me is to maintain a balance between the pressure of office work and family time. I am so immersed in office work that it becomes difficult to spend quality time with my children even when I want to. But this morning's picture was a little different.
Since this morning, my son had a strange desire to make a robot. He had been bothering me a lot about it for quite some time. On one hand, the pressure of urgent office work on the laptop, and on the other hand, his innocent desire. Finally, I thought, work will be there for life, but this childhood desire of my son will never come back.
So, putting aside my handiwork for a while, I sat down to make a robot. I didn't have much equipment, so I started with colored paper, glue, and scissors that I had at home.
How I made it:
I used green and red art paper.
I made the main body of the robot with green paper and its head with red paper.
I put a beautiful red heart symbol on the robot's chest, which is a symbol of our love.
I added a small antenna to the hands and head by cutting paper.
When the robot was completely made, all my fatigue disappeared in an instant when I saw the joy in my son's eyes and the smile on his face. He was so happy to get it that his excitement did not stop.
In fact, the emotion that is mixed in things made with your own hands is incomparable compared to expensive toys. Today, while making this robot, I felt like I went back to my childhood. In our busy lives, we should create some small moments for our children, which will remain indelible in their memories for a lifetime.
