A feast of colors and the magic of flavors.

The tradition of drinking betel leaves in our Bengali culture is many years old. It is not satisfying to eat a mouthful of sweet betel leaves at the end of a meal. However, there is so much variety in the world of betel leaves beyond the usual lime and betel leaves. I wouldn't have known it would come unless I went to a special paan shop that day. As soon as I walked in front of the shop, my eyes were filled with delight. All kinds of spices and ingredients were arranged on a gorgeous red table. As you can see in the picture, there is a wonderful array of colorful icing and sweet powders in small containers, yellow, green, pink, and red. It is accompanied by various aromatic chutneys, liquid syrups and all sorts of interesting condiments like chaman bahar. Just looking at this scene makes your mouth water.

A little further on, I noticed the paan menu card. As can be clearly seen in the picture, each paan has wonderful names and different prices.
Badshahi Pan: 20 taka
Baurani Pan: 30 taka
Agun Pan: 50 taka
Shahi Pan: 10 taka
Among all the names, the thrill-seeking mind chose the famous Agun Paan The paan maker, with meticulous hands, arranged various colorful spices, fragrant zarda and special liquid ingredients on the paan. Then, when he actually lit the fire in the pan, there was a strange thrill. When the burning pan was put directly into his mouth Then, in the first second, there was a slight warmth, and the next moment, an unprecedentedly cool and sweet taste spread across my mouth.

The combination of sweet and spicy chutney and betel leaves created a unique taste explosion in the mouth. This experience was completely different and very enjoyable than eating regular betel leaves. If you are a true fan of paan, then you should step out of the ordinary paan circle and experience this different taste and color of paan at least once.
