A helpless friend on the side of the road.

Like every day, today I went out for exercise in the soft light of dawn. The fresh morning air and silence calmed my mind quite a bit. But while walking, my eyes stopped at a place at the crossroads. What I saw in front of my eyes filled my mind with depression in an instant. A cute cat in the middle of a pile of garbage on the side of the road. The cat looked strangely beautiful with a mixture of white, black and light brown colors. But its beauty seemed to fade away in the face of a deep helplessness.

It was not a precious food, but rather trying to pick something from the pile of garbage. It was clear to see that he was suffering from intense hunger. Seeing his pitiful look and his body anxiously searching for food, my chest trembled. In our busy lives, we are so absorbed in ourselves that we do not notice the cries or the intensity of hunger of such helpless animals in front of our eyes.

Can't we share a small part of our daily food with these helpless animals? Maybe just a piece of food I give you can satisfy the hunger of an animal. Seeing this cat, I realized that the word compassion should be for every animal on the planet, not just for humans.

The helplessness of this little cat, searching for food in the garbage lying on the side of the road, is enough to shake our conscience. If we are aware and pay a little attention to helpless animals like these street children, the world will become at least a little livable for them.

Let's add a little compassion to our daily habits. Hundreds of animals like this cute friend on the side of the road spend their days waiting for our help and a little love. Putting food in their mouths means not only filling their stomachs, but also giving them hope to keep their little lives alive for a little while.

Today's scene taught me that humanity does not only mean helping people, but being kind to every living being on the planet. Only your and my small humanitarian initiatives can bring a smile to the faces of so many hungry animals.
