500 words, Which is actually at least 500 words? Otherwise it's not 500 words?

It's been a while Hivians, since I slothed a post in here, so long in fact we've had two from the Admin of the 500 words a day community! Combining both together makes the 500 words a day minimum!

Going back to @niallon11's post "https://peakd.com/hive-177032/@niallon11/500-words-are-easy-500-important-words-are-not" raises some great points.

Coming back day on day to try create "quality" content is hard, I found even within my efforts to hit 500 words a day I was reusing the same materials, repeating the same things and not really bringing anything new.

So, coming back for today's 500 words I feel a little more enthusiastic, and I've got my awesome new page breaks to include in the posts! They really brighten up the content and make things a little more reader-friendly.

I do feel, it was a great stepping stone for me to begin my journey into Hive, it allowed me to drop some "shit posts" and get the quality up slightly (I hope!) If nothing else, at least I now have some pretty page breaks to break up my shit content! (Maybe I should focus more on the design / graphic aspect, if only I could monotise it instead of making them for free for everyone!)

500 words a day should be pushed further on Hive, and utilised more for newer users, allowing them to get a feel for participating in Hive, and getting some knowledge on what content works and what doesn't.

I believe the #scholarandscribe community has a similar model in mind, bringing newer users together to learn from "older" users. The same can be said for #Hivelearners and other awesome communities!

Well, what's the point of all this? I'm not sure really, much like Niallon above, I'm a bluffer trying to make it! Quality or Quantity, it's always a fine line!

Should we make one long-form post that covers multiple subjects and encompasses the most amount of people possible, or should we focus on short, informative, engaging posts and target many different communities within the greater Hive?

Photos to #photofeed, splitnerlands gaming to #splintertalk, memes to #memehive, pizza posts to the pizza community, not to mention those multi fronts, neoxian, proof of brain, even leo finance, should we try push our content into those "big" platforms, or will it get washed away in the "other" posts?

Finding your niche is key on Hive, utilising your skills and assets to push through communities that encompass your interests. Not to mention, sticking around for the long term seems to pay off too, especially if you can get under the nose of some of the hive curation trails and auto-upvote bots (real people's votes, done by bot, vote.hive (feel free to follow the slothbuzzcurator trail whilst you're checking it out!)
