Splinterlands challenge - Maneuvers | Mixed attack types in lineup bring more advantaged
Hello all #Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry for the Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge.
This week's theme is the Maneuvers, so I want to share a recent Brawl battle with this ruleset.
The battle ruleset
- 58 mana cap - a high mana battle
- Ruleset - Stampede, Earthquake and Maneuvers
- Splinter - Only Water Splinter can be used in this battle
My team lineup
With these rulesets, I prefer to use the Flying monster to avoid the Earthquake and trampling monster to utilize Stampede best.

| 1st position |  | Djinn Oshannus - I put him at the front line because he has high speed, high health and Void ability that helps him to evade the magic attack |
| 2nd position |  | Diemonshark - he can attack from this position with Maneuvers ruleset. So I put here with the hope he can deal multiple attacks with his Trample ability and Stampede ruleset |
| 3rd position |  | Noa the Just - to reduce 2 armors from all enemy monsters so enemy team can take more damages from Earthquake |
| 4th position |  | Kulu Mastermind - to give 3 melee attacks to Noa the Just, so Noa the Just can give some attacks after Diemonshark is pushed to 1st position. Besides, Kulu also can attack from this position with his Opportunity skill |
| 5th position |  | Gargoya Devil - the only monster with Flying ability in my lineup |
| 6th position |  | Edith Emberstar - the Gladiator with high range attack. She can make some trouble to the enemy team. Not many monsters with 5-attack at this level |
The battle

- My enemy used magic monsters with level 1 Alric Stormbringer as the summoner. It predicted I would use magic monsters so 2 monsters with Void ability are at the 1st and 2nd position to reduce the damage of magic attacks. Luckily, I mixed the attack types in my lineup and my Gargoya Devil/Edith Emberstar really did a great job in this battle.
- After the 1st round, my team was able to kill Sea Genie - a Flying monster - and Djinn Oshannus
- After the 2nd round, only Nerissa Tridawn and Runemancer Kye were still alive. Runemancer Kye is a big trouble for me with Flying and Life Leech. She always increased her health as soon as she could make any successful attack.
- However, Deathblow from Gargoya Devil could deal 6 damages each round when only Runemancer Kye left on the battlefield. So Runemancer Kye finally was blown away by Noa the Just in round 4.
