Splinterlands challenge - With Equalizer, the quantity is the key to win
Hello all Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry to the Battle Mage Secrets challenge from the Splinterlands team.
This week's theme is the Equalizer rule set, so I would like to share a battle with it.
The battle rule
- 20 mana cap
- Only Equalizer rule set
- Life/Water and Earth splinters can be used in this battle
I checked the battles' history of my opponent, he mainly used magic monsters. So I need to have a strategy to minimize magic monsters' strength. In another hand, I need to use low mana monsters to have more monsters on the board and take advantage of Equalizer.
My lineup
With the above analysis, I want to use Earth splinter in this battle. It's been a while since I shared the Earth splinter battle.
Summoner | ![]() | Obsidian - to give 1 additional magic monsters |
---|---|---|
1st position | ![]() | Xenith Monk - With the Heal ability, he can stand longer in the front line. |
2nd position | ![]() | Furious Chicken - with 0 mana, he is an additional barrier to protect my monsters in the backline. |
3rd position | ![]() | Djinn Biljka - this is the key monster of this battle with his Void ability. He will reduce the received damage from magic attacks |
4th position | ![]() | Queen Mycelia - to give 2 additional armors to protect my monsters better |
5th position | ![]() | Regal Peryton - with a high speed, this flying deer can take the advantage of early attack |
The battle
Round 1
(You can click on the image to watch the battle)
- As expected, my opponent used magic monsters with Alric Stormbringer summoner. It's a strong team lineup with a high win rate in Silver League.
- After round 1, my Xenith Monk and opponent's Hardy Stonefish were eliminated
- My team had a little advantage with a hit to Mischievous Mermaid
Round 2
- Both Furious Chicken and Mischievous Mermaid were blowed away in this round.
- I got a bit of good luck because my opponent put Mischievous Mermaid in the 2nd position. She has the highest magic attack but she couldn't deal any attack to my Djinn Biljka
Round 3
- My Djinn Biljka stepped into the frontline and his Void ability proved the performance. He still could stand on the battlefield after all the attacks from the opponent's monsters.
- In another hand, Djinn Biljka did another kill and sent Venari Wavesmith to the grave.
Round 4/5/6
- After round 3, I had an advantage against my opponent with more monsters on the field and with higher magic attacks and higher total health
- My flying deer finally sealed the win with an attack to Ice Pixie.
That's all for now and hope you enjoy this battle.
I would love to see your battle with the Equalizer rule set in the Splinterlands community.
