Hello all Splinters,

10 days ago, I got Giam Root when I opened the Frontier reward chest. I was so excited because he is a Legendary with Strengthen skill at level 1, which can give 1 additional health for all the alliance monsters.

He is my 1st legendary monster from Frontier reward chest. I got many legendary reward cards in the past. However, the exciting feeling when getting a Legendary is still the same :)

As of now, I have 3 legendaries in my deck. 2 of them are from Campaign. That explains why their prices are quite low compared to Giam Root.

Let's take a quick look at his stats - 1 ranged attack/ 11 health/ Strengthen skill and cost 9 mana. He will be suitable for a high mana battle. I think I can use him to counter the Death Splinter which has the skill to reduce monster health.

In this post, I would like to share a battle with Giam Root and it is also my entry for Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

1. The ruleset

• 56 mana cap - a high mana cap battle

• No specific for this battle. I stay in Bronze league, Frontier format and the battle normally doesn't require any specific ruleset

• All Splinters can be used in this battle

Giam Root costs 9 mana and a high mana cap battle is suitable for me to put him on the battlefield.

2. My team lineup

My strategy in this battle is to use the high-health monsters at the front line and high-attack monsters at the back line. The front line monsters will take the damage and buy the time for back line monsters to make the attacks.

3. The battle

• My opponent chose Death Splinter with level 2 summoner - Thalgrimore. With 2 additional health points from Aurelia and Giam Root, my team counters all the negative effects from the opponent team. It became a neutral battle.

• Both my team and The Blues Brothers put the strongest monsters of each side on the battlefield, making the battle more challenging. The result could only be finalized in round 8.
