We had a discussion today about AI and the speed of its progress ... We are in a group of pro-techology people, passionate about blockchain, AI and advanced technology in general. And most of us expressed unease concerning the latest developments ... so one of us came up with a quick poll: "If you could slow, stop or reverse AI development, would you?"

The discussion turned to the question of the poll itself. I compared the pace of progress of AI now with drinking a great bottle of red wine. I was saying:

We had a great glass of red wine. Maybe two. Or three. Should we perhaps slow down? Very likely! Should we stop drinking a fourth glass? Perhaps ... But "reverse"? Id est should we go try to "wash our stomach somehow"? The wine IS a great wine ... it's not poisoned ... so "reverse" - definitely no!'

The development of IA has its own dynamic and we have no chance of influencing it, realistically speaking. Here, the discussion was hypothetical: "what if we could influence"?

Good morning. Best regards. If we could influence. I think it should stay where it is refining details to be more precise in certain areas that currently require the use of so-called "prompts" but it should never take the path of becoming completely independent of human beings.
