Jill had been a cross-country runner, had even won a few medals and had participated in an Olympics, finishing in the top 15. Once she gave up competition, she continued to run; she liked that sense of freedom, feeling an endless energy flow through her body, one stride after another that took her to the finish line and at the same time to a new starting line.

Jill era stata una fondista, aveva pure vinto qualche medaglia ed aveva partecipato ad una olimpiade arrivando tra le prime 15. Una volta abbandonate le competizioni aveva comunque continuato a correre, le piaceva quel senso di libertà, sentire fluire per il corpo un'energia senza fine, una falcata dopo l'altra che la portavano verso il traguardo ed al contempo verso una nuova linea di partenza.
