In her mid-eighties Jill was still breathing the wind and grinding out the miles, unfortunately no longer on her now shaky legs, but thanks to a small electric vehicle on wheels. She never gave up her daily run, which had accompanied her all her life. Sometimes she stopped to watch some young woman running, free and agile as a gazelle, which she still felt.

A metà dei suoi ottanta anni Jill respirava ancora il vento e macinava i kilometri, purtroppo non più sulle sue ormai malferme gambe, ma grazie ad un piccolo mezzo elettrico su ruote. Non rinunciava mai alla sua corsetta quotidiana, che l'aveva accompagnata per tutta la vita. Si fermava a volte ad osservare qualche giovane donna che correva, libera ed agile come una gazzella, quale lei si sentiva ancora.
