Our Three Tune Tusday Songs - get down with some Toots!

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do! Also we wanted to mention Coolio with respect and love!

Our picks

This week we want to highlight the genius of Toots and the Maytels. Some of the best music and reggae in the world! So many songs to choose from and the vibe will always be good. We nearly met them and saw them at a festival we were playing at some years ago, unfortunately Toots was ill and didnt come and we are still disapointed we never got to meet him or see him perform.

Song 1

Now this song has been on repeat everywere, on the beach, at hom, in the car, walking around the street. I mean this is a song that could take you along in life and if there was one song that would keep me going during the dark times then this is it.

Song 2

Now the second song also borrows some influence from motown and soul, just listen to the beggining it could be right out of Motown! However it then goes into the classic off beat reggae to bring you some gorgeous goodness.

Song 3

The third song is another hit of theirs and is definitely a cheeky one. All the family love this tune and it is a bit faster than some of their other tunes, although you are still nodding your hear away like a nodding dog!
