@ablaze has been doing 3 tune tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do! We really love this innitiative on Hive!
Our picks
Apparently Toms Dinner by Suzzane Vega is big on Tik Toc and is a hit with the kids. It reminded me of her brilliant songwriting. She really is a song writer of her generation. Her lyrics and song composition are fabulous so we thought we would share a few of her favourites this week on TTT! Her first 2 albums are just genius and captivating not only lyrically but also in their production.
Song 1
Marlene on the wall was always one of our favourites. I was having a good listen to her first two albumes in the car yesterday and her first album the self titled Suzanne Vega is just full of gems! I managed to fnd this live video of her this year at Glasto and she has still got it!
Song 2
I had to put Toms dinner in here off her second album. It really is her "big hit" and is very catchy. Although I put this mix of it on, the original accapella is a beutiful version too.
Song 3
Now our third choice for TTT is Solitude Standing which is wonderful piece of lyric writing. You can tell she started off as a poet before moving to songwriting. It is also worth it for the clothes in the video!

Oh wow. I only knew Toms Diner but have to admit I didn't know the title nor the artist until now. It is aired on the radio in Germany every now and then.
Nice to know it wasn't a one hit wonder, thanks for the broader view.

Similar story to @hannes-stoffel here, I know Tom's dinner from the radio, tv shows etc, but did not know Suzzane Vega or her other three songs, and really enjoyed them I must say. Good shouts guys, thanks for sharing them with us for #ttt. Solitude Standing the standout for me.
