Three Songs For Boxing Day

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!!@stickupboys has been doing it so I thought I would join back in to find even better tunes than he does.

Song 1

First up for Boxing Day 2023 we have Belfast by Orbital, an absolute classic from their debut 1991 album, which they didn't name (lazy!), and has become known as the green album (cool!). Brains went to see a DJ gig by one half of Orbital (Phil Hartnoll) the other day at the Old Marketplace in Hove, UK. His hearing hasn't quite recovered....

Song 2

Next up is a 2017 release by Alice Merton called Roots. We just love this track - the vocals, the bass, drums, structure, everything!

Song 3

Last, but not least, is a track from UK rapper Dirty Dike, like last week's third track, this one is also on High Focus records out of Brighton, UK. Dirty Dike is a great rapper, with that classic Eminem-style white-trash-thug thing. The crazy chorus vocal from Ronnie Bosh really brings the whole thing together.

Big up all the music in the world and the joy we get making and listening to it!

No doubt, wonderful selection. Though, Alice Merton's Roots is more near to my taste, so loved it more.
