Interesting viewpoint! My observation and experience is that negative motivations move us more than positive ones because they usually last longer, especially the memory of it. Motivation can come and go but with discipline we can stay the course and keep building towards what we want :)

You're right about that. I've noticed it too, especially when you're motivated by material things. When you have something new in mind that you want, your motivation can get overshadowed.
