A Beautiful Twilight At Yanqi Lake

After many days of travelling to the Yanqi lake area, I have spent different times of the day. Most of the time I spend the afternoon, evening, and I have also spent some morning, noon, which is not suitable at all and also stayed there up to late at night, around 9 pm. I have explored several sunsets there, sitting on the lake dam, which is created to use this water as a reservoir for the city water supply in the dry season and for irrigation purposes. I have spent a very few sunsetting periods of the twilight or dusks there when the surroundings of the western sky become so attractive as I explored last month.

Last month, when I got the opportunity to capture some of the moments with my new mobile camera, which has better performance for taking low-light photos than my previous device. So, I have enjoyed clicking these amazing shots when I was enjoying the scenery of the Lake surrounding, especially the setting sun in the west behind these mountains. The greenness of these mountains, the ripples of the lake water reflect the colourful sky, and the beautiful western sky made the complete view into a picturesque one that no one can ignore.

It was on 22 June that I visited the area in the summer season on my weekend, which I usually spend visiting new places. But the extreme summer days are not good for a long trip, and I usually go out in the late afternoon for my outdoor activities. As the location of Yanqi Lake is not far from my institute, I can go there very easily by public transport.

I went there in the evening when the sun was setting behind the mountains, and the whole world became orange with the reddish rays from the sun to the western sky, which made the surroundings beautiful.

The weather of the day was excellent with fresh and clean air that made the views more clear and eyecatching. As you can see these mopuntians looks very clear and the blue sky and the red sunlight making a beautiful color of the sky that can be only found during the twilight moment on earth. The ripples on the lake was a great reflection of the sky that seems to have a different color than usually the water has.

The whole surrounding was also very peaceful with lower visitors that time as it was during the summer time when very few tourists visits this area as the daytime temperature and the low humidity is not so favorable for the tourists.

I hope you like my photos of the evening beauty with the natural scenic views of the Chaobai Riverside sunset in the eastern area of the Huairou district, where I have visited in the month of May during the early summer time of this year. The weather was so comfortable, and the fresh air with pure oxygen with a colder temperature was also very enjoyable, making it a great time to explore nature as my outdoor activity.
