Defeating the LLAMA-KRON : OBSIDIAN with the CL monsters can be successful, an AMZING BATTLE to explore!

Hello splinter boys and girls living in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the new reward mechanism and the modern and wild formats in Splinterlands with the great opportunity of dozen of loot chests everyday and hundreds of loot chests at the end of season! I am also enjoying it very much and playing Splinterlands everyday.

This is my entry in Weekly Battle Challenge with the Earth summoner OBSIDIAN which is one of my favorite summoner in the game and the amazing 3 MANA monster HILL GIANT. With this normal set up and some others supportive monsters I have won a defeating battle against one of the most powerful team combination of SACRED LLAMA and the KRON THE UNDYING. Inever thought that this battle can be won as I always lose agains LLAMA and the KRON as there is no cards to defeat in my decks until I move to GOLD League while I can use some of my max level cards. But this battle was in Silver League where such legendary summoners are undefeatable in most of the cases!

In my battle, I will reveal how the card is performing in such a match against one of the most powerful enemy in the Splinterlands with the EARTH SUMMONER SACRED LLAMA. This match was a genuine defeating one for me but with the excellent ability of my awesome summoner OBSIDIAN: increasing one MAGIC ATTACK, I won the match. And that's why I couldn't resist myself from sharing this amazing battle with you.

Another important thing is that I have used some common cards in the game from the Chaos Legion eddition for building my WILD team! I hope this battle will make you confident to prepare for defeating the stronger WILDS teams effectively. And also it is not a high MANA match so it can be very useful in modern format. So such strtategies can be very helpful for the new players like me. And that's why I am trying to grab all the new CL cards to max out their level.

HILL GIANT is a fantastic card with the excellent ability of STUN at level 6, I can say that it is one of the best common cards among the new CL SET from the earth team! And it is also very cheap to max out the level, but soon it will be gone out like the old cards!

This card is an excellent card with low mana which will cost you only 3 MANA with the amazing number of HEARTs.

I have chosen this card because of the following reasons-

It is very low MANA card with a lot of Hearts, so I can use in many low MANA matches where I can afford some good attacker with MAGIC or RANGE attacks with the excess MANA!
This card is one of the cheapest card to enjoy a lot of hearts with some MELEE attacks.

In this battle I have also used the EARTH summoner which is one of my favorite SUMMONER OBSIDIAN which do excellent job by increasing one MAGIC ATTACK of all my team monsters with MAGIC attacks. And the increased one magic attack can be devastating against any team in Splinterlands!

Let's dive into The Battle

My battle was a 22 MANA battle with the UNPROTECTED and the HEAVY HITTERS rulesets. And I have chosen my EARTH summoner OBSIDIAN (level 4) as my summoner. I chose it because my other summoners are in lower level for low MANA matches. And as now I am playing in the SILVER LEAGUE, that's why I prefer this summoner in my team! Also my Magic attacker will get one extra MAGIC attack which is amazing benefit for the BATTEL!

My monster positions

As I expected the enemy team with the SACRED LLAMA summoner and the KRON THE UNDYING monsters with the with one LAST STAND ability and many more as a LEGENDARY SUMMONER. I thought at the first sight that I am going to loose the match as the KRON will have 18 HEALTH and +6 self healing each round with 5 MAGIC attacks which is really devastating in Silver League! I chose the OBSIDIAN as the summoner it offers increasing the MAGIC ATTACK. I also like this because of the max out version in the silver league so that I can use my higher levels monsters for the match!

I have chosen the 0 MANA EARTH monster FUNGUS FIEND as my primary TANK as MANA cost is important issue here because of only 22 MANA match and I need to be careful in spending the MANA without any solid reason and this DRAGON is amazing.

And so I use the 0 MANA card for absorbing the first attack from the enemy team. And it worked very well in this match. If I kept it at the back to absorb the sneak attacks, then definitely it would be a DEFEATED match as the KRON was devastating with +6 Healing each round with 5 MAGIC attacks!

For my second monster lineup, I have chosen the reported MONSTER which is a great EARTH monster, the HILL GIANT. It is an awesome monster with the amazing health for only 3 MANA cost with some MELEE attacks and the STUN ability with a moderate speed at higher level!

My third monster is another super earth monster REGAL PERYTON with its excellent ability SPEED with the FLYING ability with significant number of MAGIC attacks at SILVER LEAGUE which will make this monster an excellent attacker at the starting of a round. Also, it's solid health hearts number is very effective in many mathes as it will offer many dodges against the MELEE and RANGE attacks for the amazing combination of FLYING and excellent speed!

My fourth monster is another amazing earth LEGENDARY 4 MANA super monster QUEEN MYCELIA with the outstanding ability of PROTECT at SILVER LEAGUE so it will offer two extra armors to all of my monster, though this match is a UPROTECTED ruleset one but I have chosen it for higher health and the MAGIC attack. This card is amazing for low MANA battles also and offers many excellent abilities like AMPLIFIER, TRIAGE and RUST in higher level!

My fifth monster is another 3 MANA LEGENDARY earth monster **DJINN BILJKA with the excellent ability of CAMOUFLAGE and VOID ** which makes it amazing as it can't be targeted until it comes to the 1st position!
Also the huge number of MAGIC attacks helps me to win this match against the LLAMA-KRON COMBO!

My last monster is one of the best low MANA NEUTRAL BETA monster ELVEN CUTTHROAT with the excellent ability of SNEAK with good speed and 2 MELEE attacks at SILVER LEAGUE. This monster is awesome with very low MANA matches and it can damage the enemy's last monster in the line up very effectively!

My battle

When I saw the EARTH TEAM with THE SACRED LLAMA and THE KRON THE UNDYING, I thought at the first sight that I am going to loose the match as the KRON will have 18 HEALTH and +6 self healing each round with 5 MAGIC attacks which is really devastating in Silver League!.

But my line ups have done excellent jobs, especially the 0 MANA monster FUNGUS FIEND absorbed the first attack from the enemy.

My first tank the featured monster the HILL GIANT was doing great job here because of it's huge number of HEARTS with very low MANA cost. IT did some damage to the first three main TANK of the enemy team also!

In the meantime, my other monsters with the increased MAGIC attacks did amazing damage to the enemy's first TANK and the second monster very quickly. And as result all of my monster managed more rounds to damage the KRON very effectively. Though the +6 self healing was a big challenge for my team but the HILL GIANT did excellent with its large health that let it to sustain for multiple rounds!

Finally I win the match as the HILL GIANT and other monsters were amazing! Though it was a uncertain winning match but my team did amazing job.

Most importantly, now all the new players can afford this excellent EARTH MONSTERS with the excellent use cases in many difficult battles at very cheap cost. And these cards can be great cards for any league level in Splinterlands game!

Result

Finally the amazing victory of my team was surprising for me and I got the idea of the having large number of hearts against the devastating KRON to defeat it effectively!

I got 7.247 DEC and 6,992 R-shares from the battle reward by adding 16 trophies.
