Zongjing Johkang Temple: An Amazing Architectural Beauty!

There are so many temples in the Beijing city centre area, like the Lama Temple, Temple of Heaven, Confucius Temple, and so many. Besides, there are many temples almost everywhere with the mountains' scenic areas such as I have visited the temple in the National Botanical Garden which is known as Wofo Temple (Sleeping Buddha Temple), and this time I found another great temple in the middle of the Xiangshan Park (Fragrant Hills natural Scenic Area) and this temple is named the Zongjing Johkang Temple or Zhimiao Temple. This was a sudden surprise for me when I was exploring the Xiangshan Park recently.
It also makes sense that most of the temples in China are in the forests and top of the mountains in my observation, only the Lama temple and the Confucius Temple in Beijing are in the plain land so far among more than 20 temples I have visited in China in Shanghai, Nanjing and in Beijing. Some of the temples are so deeper in the mountain forests that are really inaccessible and I found some of them are abandoned for travellers also. Though this one is abandoned one as there is no Buddha or Monks here but you can explore the buildings area and enjoy the architectural beauty of the Chinese civilization.

The name of this temple has a strong similarity with the famous Temple Jokhang which is located in the Tibet and very popular for the toursits according to my study when I search about this temple. There is very little information as you know everything is available in Chinese language for the native people but what I found from the on site inforamtion the temple is around 250 years old and built during Qing dynasty. The architectural beauty is still eyecatching beaing so old temple and currently it is not operational only visitors can explore it.
Furthermore the natural surrounding is also so healing as it is deeper into the mountains and quite densely forest. To enter into the temple you have to climb mountains through deep forest and no one can guess the location without prior knowledge about the temple insdie the forest area. The peak tower of the temple is far top area and it needs to climb very risky stones stairs which are not properly arranged and randomly placed. So, when you want to exploret that you must be very careful about your movement.

After the outside beautiful gigantic gate, the whole temple area is like a huge rounded circle of buildings as the fence and iside of it the main point of the smaller tower with a thumb like stone is placed inside. The access to the isinde premise is openbut you can not enter into the rooms there as it is abandoned. And the views from the insdie of the temple is also so colorful. The top area can be noticed as abandones and many parts are damaged as only the ground floor is renovated an dbeing taken care of in my observation.
The overall experience was great for me to discover such a beautiful temple inside the forest in this mountains region. I am really amazed by the bright colors in the designs that is a true miracle for the Chinese civilization. I wish to discover such beauty in my future exploration.

I hope you like my photos of the beautiful and gorgeous Zongjing Johkang Temple and its amazing scenic views with the bright and colorful architectural vibes in the natural surroundings in the summer season. The weather was not so good, but the bright views and the beauty of the designs made everything perfect to enjoy the exploration of this scenic spot. It was an amazing experience to explore such a fantastic place like this, with the discovery of such an architectural; marvel in the deeper forest, to enjoy my Beijing life! If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.

Thanks!
It’s fascinating that even though it’s abandoned, the vibrant colors and intricate designs still shine through showing the brilliance of Chinese civilization.
Yeah, the rooms are locked and found no worship spots, only observing the outer architecture is possible. But the vibrant colors make the views so beautiful here.
Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
The most common religion in East Asia is Buddhism. What are your thoughts on Buddhism?
As much as I know, it is not like a religion like others as it has no concept of God, heaven or hell; just a life style introduced by Goutam Buddha.
Sending you Ecency curation votes.😉

Thanks!
