Metal Weekend: Dio's Rainbow in the Dark and Holy Diver!

Being inspired by @trumpman and his metal weekend I thought I would throw up a couple true classics. I'm a metal head as well and what's not to love about it? Check out @trumpman on his post today about another classic Dio song and a great cover as well.

Ronnie James Dio, or just Dio for us true metal heads was one of the truly great heavy metal singers of all time. He was the frontman for the band Rainbow and even for a time replaced Ozzy Osbourne heading Black Sabbath before forming the band Dio. His death from cancer in 2010 was a true loss to the world of music. Here are a couple great classics from the band Dio: Rainbow in the Dark and Holy Diver:

Which do you like best? Any other favorites you might have? Feel free to comment and share below!

I agree with you, too bad he died so young.

Ozzy is great in Black Sabbath, definitely the godfather of metal! The old eight tracks, blast from the past! They are becoming expensive again now that they are collector's items.

I wish I would have saved some of mine. I don’t even think I own anymore 8 tracks!🤔
I had a player in my car that I could adjust the tracking….one of the downfalls of well played 8 tracks drifting…..
