Lava Spiders are mana cost effective monsters. It has moderate stats for only 3 mana. Bring it to at least level 4 and it will be a perfect sniper for low to mid mana cap battles.

My Line-up and The Rules of Combat:

The rules of combat are the main reasons why I choose my team and their placement.

The activated splinters give me an idea of what to expect from my opponent.

I picked the combination of Antoid Platoon and Radiated Brute to deal with my opponents' tank. Expecting either Cursed Windeku (thorns) or Living Lava (shield).

Additionally, I picked Tenyii Striker as a backline (sneak) attacker. Its ample health can also withstand sneak attacks (Tenyii Striker or Silent Sha-vi).

I picked Lava Spider as a backline sniper. I have an ongoing snipe quest as well so it is a perfect fit.

And to maximize the mana cap, I picked Creeping Ooze. It is ideal as an opportunity (Serpentine Spy) or snipe (Death Elemental) diversion.

It is also worth noting that attacks will always hit. That’s why I choose monsters with moderate health.

The Actual Battle:

The battle result was as expected. I just forgot about scorch fiend. It could at least take one sneak attack.

Conclusion:

Lava spiders are one of my favorites in low to mid mana battles. It only costs 3 mana and have a decent amount of stats plus a snipe ability.

I like mine to be at least level 4 for it to deal a considerable damage. Its an effective sniper for those pesky backline support, ranged and magic attackers.

In worst case scenario, they can be used as a shield, front or back, to buy time for your other attackers.

Lava Spiders are more appropriate when you have the snipe quest.
