When Power Turns into Threat: A Reflection Through the Quran and Hadith
Today, we see one reality very clearly.
A powerful country like the United States often speaks to the world through warnings, sanctions, and military threats.
This post is not about hating any nation.
It is about questioning the misuse of power.
The Quran reminds us:
“Do not spread corruption on the earth. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters.” (Quran 28:77)
When power is used without justice, it creates fear, not peace.
History shows us that empires fall when arrogance replaces accountability.
Allah also says:
“Indeed, Allah does not like the arrogant and boastful.” (Quran 4:36)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned clearly:
“Beware of oppression, for oppression will be darkness on the Day of Judgment.” (Muslim)
Oppression is not only done by individuals.
It can also be done by systems, policies, and governments.
Islam teaches us that strength is not in threatening others,
but in protecting the weak and standing for justice.
Real peace will never come from bombs or sanctions.
It comes from fairness, dialogue, and responsibility.
Power should serve humanity — not dominate it.
