Knotilus Daily Pond ~ A Giant Corn Update, Stan is a Kitty, Garden Pics & Sunshine!

Hey all! Hope you’re enjoying this holiday weekend!

It’s been beautiful here lately! With the warm weather comes being busy as can be! So much to do in the gardens, events happening every couple days, appointments and meetings, work and family stuff, it’s wonderful and my most favourite time of year by far. Summer only lasts a very short while here on the rock, and we try and squeeze every drop of enjoyment out of it!

I picked up this little table for free and decided to try and use my pressed flowers on the drawer!

I think it worked out pretty great!

I did a few layers of glue and paint so it’s still drying, but it’s close to being completed now 🙂

I love getting crafty! And it will definitely add some flare to this upcycled piece of furniture!

I also completed a new necklace for myself recently. I’m totally in love with this piece! Makes me happy wearing it!

My giant Incan corn is officially bigger than me! This beauty just got transplanted again, and may need an even bigger pot before the end of the season.
I’m so happy I could get this thing to grow!

It would’ve been really cool to actually have all four of them that we were able to sprout, but the cats had other plans and literally ate the rest. Apparently 4000 year-old heirloom corn plants taste better than west coast seeds blue popcorn, because these are the plants they went for, even more so than the catnip I grew too! 😂

Also I found out why my rooster Stan is always excessively crowing! It’s because he’s not a rooster at all, he’s a kitty! If you just snuggle him often, and treat him like a kitty, he’s much, much happier!
