Another Process Improvement Cycle Completed and a 2-FA-K Gift

It looks like you need to get a KVM Switch and get more room on your desk ;)

I took his advise and made some improvement. This turned out to be a great example of a Plan-Do-Check-Act exercise. The next photo is after I installed my KVM.

As Left

Before I get into my photo-essay I want to let you know how you can get a gift for helping me out. Have a look at the recent blogs with @FJism account. The Story Starts Now

First, I had to figure out what I needed and then order it.

I have 2 desktops and a laptop to connect so I went with a 3 computer and 3 monitor installation. I wasn't sure if it was going to work with all three computers because of port limitations. But, hey, when in doubt, I often go for it.

Unpacked

The arrow points to the wired remote control to switch PC's and Monitors.

I did try to hook it up using existing cables and I picked through my stash of spare parts but I didn't have what was needed so I made a trip to BestBuy this morning.

Operation

In the next 2 photos I show how screens blackout after switching from one computer to the next. Each computer operate 2 screens and I used one wireless mouse and keyboard. The older machine, is operating the 2 top monitors. I was not able to get it working on the KVM so that is why you see the second keyboard and mouse. These screens are usually displaying CNN and YouTube so there is very little need for keyboarding.

The Back Office

I know I have some cleaning up to do so that will be another PDCA activity at a later time. I focus on operational and not good looks. #LOLZ

Productivity Booster

There you go. I shared a photo-essay and demonstrated the usage of a problem solving token use case. My productivity improvement will be reflected in the digital wealth growth in The PEPT Game community and abroad. I will be able to gift more with less work.
