Some abbreviations you better understand if you are a risky trader... DEGEN?!?!

I am following quite a lot of people on Twitter, and many of them use the word DEGEN in every single tweet. Just take a look at this one for example:

Do you even understand it? Well, the word degen play or being a degen is frequently used, especially if you follow crazy traders out there for quick gains. What is it? And what about WAGMI, GMI, and NGMI? These are frequently used in tweets I see, and it is quite useful to actually understand them if you want to grasp what is actually going on.

DEGEN

According to the Urban dictionary, this is the meaning of DEGEN.

"Gambler, "degenerate" gambler. Refers to card players, racetrack bums, bookies, dice & craps shooters, proposition (prop) bettors. Gamblers consider other gamblers degens, but not themselves usually."

What is it? Degen is a gambler, someone really shooting at all chances, taking extremely high risks. That is why a certain crypto can be referred for as a degen, or the person buying them is also a degen (degenerate).

WAGMI, GMI, NGMI

Today I noticed a tweet from Pepsi Company in which they embraced NFTs and said that they will enter the NFT world because of us. Look at the tweet.

Now, what is the last tag there? WAGMI! Do you know what it means?

  • WAGMI = We Are Gonna Make It
  • GMI = Gonna Make It
  • NGMI = Not Gonna Make It

Do you see it? Earlier today I read tweets about a project named CHAD that rug-pulled. A natural word to include in tweets about CHAD is therefore NGMI, at least when referring to the project. When you think of your own life, even if you lost funds, I hope, of course, that you will include GMI or WAGMI.

Do you get it? Look around, and you will most likely discover these words frequently on Twitter and other popular platforms like HIVE, Reddit, and more in the coming weeks and months.

ANd even if the red market should last throughout Christmas, let me tell you: #WAGMI!
