Yes, it was a surgical operation, which caused astonishment because no one expected something like this so soon, and yes, the transition is key in this process, because in order to fully believe that it is a true liberation, the transition must take place, and we must not allow those who are still in power and have always been there to remain there, lest the cure be worse than the disease. This was inevitable; we could not resolve it, and others are resolving it. I don't know how true all this is or if it's an orchestrated plan; I really believe that we Venezuelans are not interested in the details; we care about having the time and support necessary to overcome a political situation that has left us with almost nothing. I hope we can return to being the prosperous and magnificent country we once were. Thank you for your letter.
