Ai knows about curation ( Feel free to downvote)

avatar

Curation on the Hive and Steem blockchain is the process of identifying and voting on high-quality content that is posted on the blockchain by other users. The idea behind curation is that users who contribute valuable content to the blockchain should be rewarded, while users who post low-quality or spammy content should not.

However, there are several reasons why curation on Hive and Steem may not work as well as intended. One issue is that the process of curation is open to manipulation, as users with large numbers of votes can use their influence to vote for their own content or the content of their friends, rather than objectively evaluating the quality of the content.

Another issue is that the rewards for curation are small compared to the rewards for posting, so many users may not be motivated to put in the effort to curate content. Additionally, there is often a lack of clear guidelines for what constitutes high-quality content, which can lead to confusion and disagreement among curators.

In summary, the curation on Hive and Steem blockchain system, while well-intentioned, suffers from manipulation, lack of incentives for curators, and issues surrounding the definition of high-quality content which causes it to not work as intended.

By GPT btw. Pretty much on point.

There are 2 opinions. Mine and Nazi!

No Ai picture? No its low effort.

There are different types of very common content on the web:

  • Personal experiences and travel. Share your stories and observations from your travels or your life experiences, it can be a personal diary or a travel blog.
  • Science and technology: from the latest developments in artificial intelligence and biotechnology, to new energy sources and space exploration.
  • Social issues and current events: from politics and civil rights to climate change and economic inequality.
  • Health and wellness: including nutrition, mental health, exercise, and alternative medicine.
  • Food and cooking: from recipes and cooking tips, to food culture and the science of taste.
  • Personal growth and self-improvement: from goal setting and time management to personal finance and career development.
  • Pop culture: covering movies, TV shows, music, books, and other forms of popular entertainment.
  • Environmentalism and sustainable living: exploring ways to live an environmentally friendly and socially responsible life.
  • Personal development and education: From language learning to mastering a new skill
  • Hobbies and interests: share your passion for anything from gardening and sports, to DIY and photography, writing about something you are enthusiastic about will make your writing more interesting and engaging.

On Hive there have been instances where individuals have seized control of certain topics and established communities based on their own preferences and guidelines. This represents a significant concern, as it can resemble a hostile takeover of specific themes and the subsequent enforcement of arbitrary rules. These rules have been formulated by individuals with good intentions, but with a limited perspective in a discord chat. It is important to acknowledge that this is not the same as the previous iteration of the web, and should be approached with a fresh perspective, one that values diversity, inclusivity, and democracy in the decision-making process.

Do you get what I mean? @livinguktaiwan

Or let me phrase it simpler for you: Police Content == Not web3

You can try to bust abuse, fine, that's widely accepted. But you and especially the way you interact with the people you downvote, condescending and arrogant, that's a big NoNo.

I am sure cutting-edge tech things are nothing for avg people. That is why we don't have a tech-heavy community talking about cool shit. Like entrepreneurs and how to use it. This would be eyeballs beyond hive, because it's unmuteable and like a "book of progress".

Anyway, today on hive is not unique or copy and paste spam.

It is simple "I don't like it". Maybe I buy a million of this shitcoin and set some on autodownvote.

So they never earn any rewards ever again :)

Well, it takes a big ego to become a professional content curator. Who knew that having an inflated sense of self-importance could lead to such negative feelings?

AI spam is still spam. AI shitposting is still shitposting. Why not focus on quality instead of quantity?

LMAO, those cutting-edge tech AI generations are not from public service. Those are what was possible at the time like a journey and needed more effort as all your posts combined.

To get a photorealistic one you can't tell the difference between a real human or not.

I see hive is the wrong community, but I can tell you, something buddy, the curation game is dead soon on hive with high-end AI.

This will change the Internet forever and kill all hive curation efforts.

So have fun in your bubble, I stop sharing " what is possible with AI".

I share it now on my own website, send all traffic there and run affiliate programs worth more than shit hive rewards.

The projected share of what is possible was to add value to hive and not to take it away. This stops now.

The Labor Theory of Value is irrelevant to economics in general and electronics specifically.

What is the purpose of your content? What meaning are you trying to share? AI can generate content for days, but so what?

a personal journey to see improvement. But don't worry I already moved to Twitter. I will never post any ai content on Hive again. Responses and talk on Twitter are better anyway.

https://twitter.com/PowerGames8/status/1613341771395911684

The idea behind was coming back in a year or whatever and looking how it started.

Edit: BTW the idea is pretty stupid to tell people what they can post or not. I pay for the transaction in RC so i should be allowed to do what i want. It does not damage the community anyway.

This tech will become a common tech. At some point, you will not be able to see real human or not. Ai text or not.

This will kill hive. I used my content also as a reference to witnesses to talk about the future of content.

This stopped too.

So you got a computer to make uncanny valley photoshop jobs and filler articles for you. How does this disprove the idea of human-created content? The is a platform for engagement and creation, not web2 quantity and clickbait.

how does autovotes? Do you think this is quality content? You know 40% of trending content is particularly made with ai already on hive. You must be very naive to think this will not increase. On Leofinance around 50% of the content is particular AI made. Written content.

Nobody engages on this platform. Rewards and engagement do not correlate in any way.

In the end, i don't care.

To reward Human-generated content more because is more work and not based on quality is anyway a pretty stupid way to see the world.

And yet here I am, engaging with your post, disproving your point.

It's not about rewarding human created work because it is work, it is because we are a community, and not just a content repository. Your failure to find a place here is your own fault.

I don't use vote bots. I have criticized autovoting. I can't prevent people from autovoting my stuff. But that's a red herring to avoid discussion of the very issue you claim to be presenting. We had a problem with bid bots a few years back. It got resolved by community action. Do you have any idea how many hurdles we've experienced? Maybe slow your self-righteous roll a bit.

I am here since 2017. Mostly as a holder back then.

At the end, i stop posting here. I don't care the rewards.

AI content is not spam, It is unique, it shows up in SEO searches on pictures, and it generates value for holders. Also people are pretty interested in this kind of special as I use hive as a reference to talking to people about it.

I was asking nobody to upvote my shit. I hold over 1% of all SPK larynx miner tokens and invest in a lot of other projects around hive.

On hive are MEMEs not allowed, FUN not allowed, Short content not allowed, AI content not allowed. So a lot of human engagement. And all by random rules.

And its not because i got downvoted, fuck it. It's because i discovered again a cyclejerk ring around OCD curators ( view delegations and monetary connections) with are the same that downvote also accounts smaller as 10k hive.

If I would power up 1M hive. Nobody would downvote me of those fuckers. Special because curate bots like rancho and hajejin stop voting downvoted content because they lose money.

Do you think hive will survive AI takeover? I can promise you curation will die next 12 months.

I would say 7 posts a day with Ai pictures is spam. If you sent me those via email, I would consider it spam aswell.

Thats why its spam.

Ai images, is fuck anyways with the way they gather the knownledge.

thats why i move to twitter, i want a journey to look back. 3 days ago eyes was bad. Today eyes are perfect.

7 days a post was to reflect improvements. Anyway, not the point.

Ai images, is fuck anyways with the way they gather the knowledge.

it depends. A lot of wrong information are out. Ai doesn't copy anything, thats not how those models work.

It is like learning from a book. It doesn't copy them. It is using a similar style at maximum.

You can train your own model and you will see if you don't believe me.

And if it looks the same is simple stealing.

could be, in general, I don't really care. I could simply add Ai written content to it with the a complex phrase and nobody ever would notice.

like to each post 1000 words why the improvement is good made by AI and it would look like a shit ton of effort and would simply take 20 seconds more.

Custom version of stable diffusion ( not web-based). So it's not a shitty website you push prompt in and look.

If you actually wrote fewer posts explaining your process to inform the HIVE community about what AI art is, how it works, what you do to train AI, etc. with a few selected images, it would actually be good content instead of pointless spam that looks like reward farming and low effort shitposting.

I did a lot of them + results posting into. Stop posting on hive anyway.

Self-hosted website + Twitter. Some affiliate links, bam 10x the rewards.

So fuck hive. Everyone should be able to post whatever they want. If some retard upvotes my content and " over rewards" it, I cant do anything about it.

It's not self-upvoted. So blame the people that upvote it.

For me the curation game on hive with all the weird guidelines and random enforcement is to much shit.

Pretty retarded if you think about it how stupid hive is.

Calling things "stupid" because you disagree is not making any kind of rational case. As far as I can tell, the people downvoting your spam (and it is undeniably spam) explained why you were using poor netiquette. Your failure to understand the general ethos is your own failure, not a problem with HIVE.

The randomness here is far less oppressive than web2. You still own your content. I just want to encourage a healthier mindset behind sharing it. Maybe if it isn't working for you, it's you who is in the wrong?

If you don't have any control over who upvotes, why are you mad about the downvotes over which you also have no control? It's just another side of the curation process, and the downvoters at least indicate human action in the curation process.

dude, that was never the point. Look the general upvote system. Its about bullying. You try to reeducate me on what quality content is or not.

That's so stupid. People love short form content. Look Twitter. AI goes viral every day. Like memes.

Hive is a shithole.

Look the people who downvote me. Some of them use delegated funds for cyclejerk with fake accounts.

  • they attack new users with random rules.

Never a big stakeholder. Think about how fucked up it is.

I dont care about rewards at all. Its about people get a boner doing it. Like the fucker solominer ( also cycle jerker).

Hive will never scale.

Thats why i stop posting.

Most people that bully other people add zero Value to hive at all. Like all OCD, Hivewatcher and so on people.

They don't invest, they don't code. they don't attract new people.

What if, just maybe, the problem was always with your attitude and behavior, and not other people? Ot maybe HIVE just isn't the right platform for the kind of content you want to share. People who find success here usually want to either make personal posts or archive evergreen content, not just saturate the Blockchain with nonsense. They also actually do engage with other creators. Did you ever do any curation or engage in conversation?

You can make your own community if you feel there is a need for an one.

If another human is making content, and you are just copy/pasting it several times a day, that is undeniably plagiarism and spam. How is it different if a computer is generating it and you are just copy/pasting it here?

copy and paste would be if no prework is made. If you research something and write it together, is that copy and paste.

Anyway hive is shit

for example.

But look at the talk. Who are you to tell me what quality content is?

Better bloggers, LMAO.

rewards on hive are made by cycle jerk. I had the opportunity to join the discords and suck other people's dick.

If you think it is about quality you are pretty brain-dead.

If you had a Steemit account, you could also try Blurt. It forked off a while back, too, so your credentials should be the same. It's more for short form content and has no downvotes. It could just be a case of a bad fit for your content on this platform. Worth a try, maybe?

And btw decline rewards is not a master solution for most users with those problems, because it also declines HE tokens from communities.

Hive is pretty shit to be honest in terms of curation and rules.
