That's the point. Hive is a dapp chain and less of a social one.
Adding more things dapps needs bring us closer to a network effect than the social part of hive.

i am not 100% sure but i think HAF and RC delegations will be doing that.
Social part is just a big plus to all of that. I am 99% sure that without social part there would not be hive (after steem)
