From MLM to Web3: How Curiosity Rescued Me from the Hustle Trap

Web 3 or not, I didn't even know what that word meant when i decided to join the train, somehow I was just tired of the multi-level marketing online business (MLM) I was doing, all this bring two people and your two bring two more to earn kind of stuff, it never ended because if your downline didn't bring more downline, the people at the top wouldn't earn anything, it was a hassle that people had to join without knowing the debt that might follow. The last one I did, didn't end well and some of my classmates were chasing after me, asking me to return their capital since I was the ring leader. I knew bitcoin exist though but the price was too high for a student to afford, I started researching about some online business I can engage in with little or no capital and I will still earn well, logging into facebook and I saw a post from a guy about a blogging platform where you can write and earn but I'm not a writer and yet I still decided to feed my eyes.
I had no idea I was already in the web3 space until I started researching more on how to build my writing skills and also the opportunities on the platform, at first it wasn't easy at all especially when we posted without any votes. Outside the blogging platform, everything else looked like jargons especially when it come to crypto terminologies, at some point, I had to ask myself if they want us to cram them all, then I started hearing about the phrase "Not your keys, not your crypto", how people can easily lose their tokens on exchanges, why external wallet is the safest of all but no one talked about how long the wallet seed phrase can be and how you can't get them back if you lost the phrase, we weren't even done with that when crypto scams started trending, especially the p2p traders who find joy scamming their fellow traders and also phishing link were trending, it was just too much.
The first time I ever doubted web3 was when NFT started trending all of a sudden, seeing people spend a lot of money on just pictures sounded crazy, like come on, what are you people even thinking, most NFT's have no use case, the price was too much and before they realize what was going on, most NFT's had become worthless, no one wanted to buy them. I never for once believed crypto was a scam space though but you can only get scammed if you don't know what you are doing, especially those that want to make quick cash, what you engage in matters a lot and that is one reason people use the "Non Financial Advice" tag on any crypto finance post
Just like everyone will say, the crypto space is really interesting, if not for this space, I can't imagine what I will be doing now, maybe engaging in some work just to survive since most salaries don't really cover anything anymore, most times if I see newbies trying to find their way around, I do tell them to make their in depth research and pick a niche, whatever they are looking for is inside web3, they have to two choice which is to win, and if not careful enough, they might conclude that the space is a scam

Only a few newbies escaped posting without getting any upvotes, I gave up on hive countless times for that very reason but glad I was able to find my way back.
lol i can imagine, I did the same most times, especially if I'm tired of posting, i just take some break
Of a truth, we all have a story to tell about Hive And when it gets to web 3 at large...
We faced one challenge or the other....
100% but at the end, we always find a way around it
Sure sure...
It only required determination and consistency...
