What the hell! Tyler Perry really knows how to make people emotional when it comes to movies and this Taraji P. Henson just won't stop acting in his movies, just like yesterday I vividly remember the movie she was in "Acrimony", which made a lot of people emotional and the aftermath really lasted for some months and almost sparked a Twitter-gender war, users turning against each other just because of a movie and now he did it again with this new movie titled "Straw". On people
Whatsapp notifications, they were like "if you watch this movie and don't feel emotional, then you are something else", I had to open my Netflix app to see if I will be emotional or not and immediately I saw Taraji Henson, I knew something was up.

It all started with a struggling single mom whose life was somehow in a mess and really finding it hard to balance her life situation, she had to shuffle between two jobs, live in a rented apartment where she is owning rent and to top it all her daughter is seriously ill and had to live on drugs, taking care of her alone wasn't easy but she still manages to survive until one faithful day, a day people do pray not to see, her landlady threatened to throw her load out if she didn't pay up that day, she drops her daughter at school and went late to work (her boss at work was pressuring her) due to her performance, immediately she got to work, she received an urgent call from her daughter school, her boss gave her 30mins grace period, she got to the school and boom child care people were there to snatch her daughter away with the excuse that she is not capable of taking care of her daughter, she left the school and on her way while driving, a police officer hit her car, threaten her and eventually they tow her car away due to expired license, she had to trek home inside the heavy rain only to find all her belongings outside.

This three incident really had some effect on her, so she decided to go back to work and boom her boss fired her because she exceed the time and he refused to pay her since she the need the money urgent but indirectly asked her to wait for the mail which might take some days, while arguing and refusing to leave his office, two thief came in and pretended they knew her after reading her name tag, but while trying to forcefully take her boss cash and hitting her, she fought back, grab the police gun and shot one while the other thief ran away, instead of the boss to be grateful, he try to set her up and called the police but she shot him while on call, took her pay check and left the crime scene. So she went to her bank to cash the cheque, they refuse and with all the stress, she brought out the gun and everywhere scattered.

Things Got Crazy

They thought she came to rob the bank with a gun and some kind of bomb and she had to explain on call to the police that she came to cash her cheque, and after she got the money, instead of surrendering, she refused to leave because she saw the same police man who threaten her earlier on live tv and things got worse from there, since the police couldn't bring her out on time or figured who the police man was, the FBI got involved and were even ready to force their way into the bank.

Some of her action really pained me show how and that was when the emotion stuff started, based on her situation which was frustrating and the mental stress the school, police man, landlady and the boss put her through, she should have calm down and not shoot her boss after the robbery incident, her intention wasn't to steal because she only took her pay check but killing her boss is a huge crime and pulling out a gun in a bank is a no no, it is like jumping from frying pan to fire because those police force don't joke with bank robbery. Now the movie ended in a tragic way, the same daughter she went through all the stress for died without her knowledge, even though people heard her story and came to support her, she will still be punished for her crime. Really rate this movie 10/10

Finally, someone rated the movie 10/10...it was really worth it. @bipolar95 come and see oo 🙄🙄

I also said if someone watch this movie and didn't feel emotional, then the person must be a hardened criminal and heartless soul 🤣🤣 I was greatly moved.

Acrimony was a movie that moved me, too. I watched it three years ago I think and I'm planning on watching it tonight. Well, I wouldn't blame her for killing her boss because at that point, she was devastated. If she hadn't done that, she would have been apprehended and won't be able to explain her dilemma as she did while in the bank. So, the mental strain led her to accidentally shoot her boss, I think.

When I was watching this movie yesterday night because it was my sister that recommended the movie to me I was crying because it's not easy for her especially being a single mother to make the matter worse her daughter is sick and have to work to jobs just to be able to buy her daughter expensive drugs. Also the saddest part is when her landlady threw all her things including her daughter drugs outside the rain i was just sad because her landlady is just heartless because she should have at least pity her and give her another chance because it's not easy for her. I will give the movie(straw) top-notch because she acted it well and draw all emotions out of people.
