My Introduction Post
Hi, I'm xKasabian and I was introduced to Hive by @killerwot He has been telling me about it for quite awhile now and I have finally taken the plunge and joined, but I'm a bit confused by it.
I will try keep this as informative about myself without it being an overkill, so bare with me guys!
Any newbie advice is welcome!
I've been advised by @killerwot to talk about myself, and hobbies as a way to get pointed in the right direction of navigating this place, and finding some communities I would like.
Who I Am
I studied Tv and Film Production, and from there I went into a range of different jobs, sadly though, not in the field I studied. Unfortunately I took up a job that I regret now looking back, but at the time I wasn't feeling my best and it sucked me dry for the next 4 years when I could have done something more productive. 🕴️🗃️
My Hobbies
I'm an avid gamer and have always enjoyed playing games since back in the PlayStation 1 days.
Skyrim & Fallout 4 probably being my favorite games of all time, Bethesda is King.
Movies being a major interest also,
Lord of the Rings being my absolute favorite.
(I have LOTR corner in my room which I will add up a picture of at a later time) 🐲⚔️I also love music and have been to a ton of gigs over the years. Also quite a few band tattoos (Blink182 are coming up in September here in Ireland & I got tickets!) 🎸🎧
Travel & History
I've adventured and visited most of the main sights & attractions here in Ireland, Castles being a big interest to me. I tried previously along with a friend start up an Instagram page aswell as a YouTube channel to try and boost our own towns history but it never picked up the traction we'd hoped for and it soon fell flat. (Pictures & posts to come later) 🏰✈️

I may not know much about this site, but from what I've heard it's a cool place and is full of interesting people, and I hope I will fit in and be able to get more involved once I get to know it a bit better.

Hive Gaming, is pretty self-explanatory, it's all about games and gaming.
Cine Tv, is a good community all about movies, and they do weekly prompts too.
Movies and Tv Shows, is another good place to talk about movies and tv shows.
There's a lot to see, I think the best thing for you to do is pop around and see what communities are out there and do a bit of reading, you'll find plenty of great people and cool places to hang out.

I have a lot of ideas. I just don’t know how to draw. Lol. But I’m thinking between a Tiger and a Skull. The skull on a bed of roses, a crown of thorns and some blood spill. A lot of color too. Hehe. It has meaning for me too

He's a good bloke so I reckon he will. There's a lot to learn but it's a good place, you'll find your niche. Have a look through the communities and perhaps subscribe to the ones that mirror the hobbies you listed. Most of all, enjoy yourself 😊

Some other advice for you as a newcomer to Hive, spend time engaging with people. Find posts that interest you and comment on them. When you are new, that is the best way to get your name out there.

Your passions in real life can be an inspiration for online life and thoughts put into writing and a brand new hive blog is great and will be rewarded with votes which is fun. Your niche, hobby, views or new ideas are appreciated and will be read. If you have questions let us on hive know. There are many hivers that will help , if you ask your questions in comments or in a discord!
There is so much so all topics will have a place here. The hivinguniverse is so diverse it’s suitable for all of us. See the list of all communities on hive in your front end drop down menu. ( sound difficult but it’s the row on the left 😉 ) never give any of your passwords and please don’t click on links you get in comments in the beginning that can cause theft. Later in you will know what to click and what not.
