My HIVE-Engine Empire is in Shambles on this Pie and Beer Day

avatar

This post will have three parts. First is a celebration of Pie and Beer Day.

I will state my opinion about superfluous Down Votes and then talk about my crumbling #Hive-Engine empire.

Pie and Beer Day

The 24th of July is Pioneer Day in the Beehive State.

Pioneer Day is a day set aside for Utahans to celebrate their Mormon Heritage and all things related to the Mormon Church.

While I was shopping I remembered that non-Mormons started using the day to celebrate pie and beer.

Anyway, I decided to buy some apples and a beer.

Utah is odd. Stores can sell large bottles and six packs of beer, but they can't sell single beers. So, I finally decided to buy a hard kumbachi.

It's been ages since I baked a pie; so I asked AI for a recipe. The pie crust was too think and I didn't have enough filling for the pie pan.

I got the pie out at 10:21 PM. I tried taking a photo in the dim light and got the focus wrong.

I then thought about posting the picture for #beersaturday and remembered that I get downvoted when I post.

Down Votes without a Cause are Infuriating

The downvotes are infuriating. For some reason that I've never comprehended #hivewatchers likes to down vote people without ever stating the cause.

I suspect that I get downvoted because I disliked the high interest on HBD.

Time has proven me right. People holding HBD convert their coins to HIVE when the market is week. AusbitBank shows that the HBD markcap is down to $9,198,623. We have seen well over a million HBD converted to HIVE in recent months. A million HBD converted at a nickel produced 20 million HIVE.

The decision to pay 20% interest on HBD set up the platform for failure.

The whales downvote people who tell the truth. Down voting truth does not protect the platform. It is censorship and censorship kills platforms that claim to support free speech.

My Down Vote Strategy

troll.jpg

I support #hivewatchers when it protects people from spam, plagiarism and token abuse.

The one thing that infuriates me is that hive-watchers fails to inform people of the reason for the down vote. We get down votes and we are left to speculate.

I suspect that many of the down votes originate with whales on discord servers.

I decided that if I get down voted and the down voter fails to tell me the reason for the down vote, that I will then start down voting the content of the down voter (or which ever account funds the down voter).

Down vote me to your heart's content. I simply want the down voter to state the reason why. Is that too much to ask?

I generated the image of a troll on Night Cafe.

My HIVE Engine Empire is in Shambles

My HIVE-Engine Empire is in shambles. My #POB savings used to be well over a hundred dollars. Now it is less than ten. My 50,000 CENT would be worth $500 if CENT held to its penny peg. It is trading at $2.63.

Even my ALIVE and WAIV stacks have fallen below the $10 threshold.

Oddly, the only coin that is outperforming the market is LASSECASH which appeared in my account as an airdrop. I don't want to sell a stack that I received as a gift.

The market crash caused me to reassess my holdings and I decided that I want to buy more coins.

I bought 4k POB to raise my holdings to over 35K. That wasn't enough to keep it above the $10 threshold. I will probably buy a few thousand more.

One Can't Live on Curation Alone

I realized that I will not be able to support my HE empire on curation alone. So, I've been toying with writing articles again.

My articles never did well. HIVEstats.io shows that I've dropped 4,380 posts. I've received 1,210 HP in curation rewards. That's an average of 0.27 HP per post.

I've received 3,000 HP in curation rewards.

Yes, I am one of those suckers who bought HIVE. I bought about 4k HIVE at prices higher than today's price.

The page shows that I receive about 12 HP a week in curation rewards. Yes, I've been powering down 10 HP a week. I put most of that money into my HE stack. This image from Hivestats shows my account slowly creeps up despite the power down.

I created a tribe but got down voted for doing so. I was not even given an opportunity to say why I created the tribe.

I created a tribe and got down voted by the whales.

People ask why HIVE is faltering. Look at the whales and the abuse of #hive-watchers.

One Possible reason for the down votes is that I kept my SteemIt and Blurt accounts alive.

I admit. I dislike when people post the same content on SteemIt, Blurt and HIVE.

So, I never do that. Sometimes I cross post between the platforms. Cross posting between platforms has SEO benefits for the platforms. I never post the same content on the different platforms.

SteemHop

Oddly, I've been doing well on SteemIt. I've made 382 STEEM playing SteemHop and received $36.52/2=$18.26 SP rewards for blogging about the game.

Conclusion

My Hive-Engine Empire has been in decline of late. I decided to buy more coins. My last tally showed that I have 7,735,955 coins. I am hoping to increase it to ten million.

Finally. I ask the people who downvote this post to tell me why. If you fail to leave a comment; I will down vote you.

I dont convert my HBD when hive is weak but I do convert and/or sell it when the interest rate drops. To me its not worth holding at 10%.

I like the conversion program. If the price of HBD is hanging out below $0.95; I will convert HBD to HIVE as I might make a profit on the converion. Conversely, if HBD is hanging out above $1.05; I will convert HIVE to HBD.

The conversion process is the mechanism that keeps HBD stable.

I've also played the game of buying HBD when I thought the price of HIVE was high and selling HBD when I thought the price of HIVE was low.

If done correctly; HBD can help stabilize HIVE.

Unfortunately we blew everything apart when we started paying interest on HBD and raised the haircut to 30%. When we did that we created a situation where HBD could destabilize HIVE.

We took a good idea and made the good idea bad.

People invested in HIVE should use conversions when the conversions correct the price of hive. They should stack HBD when they think the price of HIVE is high and sell when they think it is low.

The one and only problem was the stupid interest on HBD.

I appreciate your honest thoughts. Better communication about downvotes can build trust. I wish you success rebuilding your Hive-Engine portfolio and reaching your ten million token goal.
