Yes, I do, too.

Are we really in a post-colonial era? Only in the narrow sense, that the "system of domination characterised by the control of another territory, natural resources and people" is perpetraded by a foreign group. Most people are still dominated by a domestic group which is the government. And, in my opinion, it is that government that systematically (but perhaps unintentionally) increased inequality, e.g. by zero interest rate policies, by subsidies to certain companies / cronies. And, yes, Covid and immigration likely increased the tensions and strengthened the political fringes. Social media probably also played a role, by giving a loudspeaker to the most extroverts or egomaniacs.
