I did another painting from the shore of the Rideau River. The snow is slowly melting … but winter is holding on.
Watercolour on 8 x 10 paper
Location: Rideau River, Ontario Canada
I am waiting for the paper to dry now before I add more colour to the snow and Ice covered river…..
My process :
Step 1: Start with light pencil sketch on watercolour paper .. add cobalt blue for sky and island along horizon line
Step 2: add wash of blue to snow on river. Yellow ochre on shore
Step 3: Add details to Birch trees in Foreground
