Hello beautiful people. Welcome to Hive Open Mic Week 263. In line with this week's theme, "Ray of Light," I did a cover of the song “This Little Light of Mine.”

This song holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorites from childhood Sunday school. I still vividly remember how we used to sing and dance to it with so much energy and excitement. It was always one of the highlights of Sunday school for me. In fact, if you were to ask me what I learned back then, chances are the first thing I will mention would be this song, even if it was not sang on that particular day. That’s how much impact it had on me!

When I saw this week’s theme, “Ray of Light,” this song instantly came to mind. It’s more than just a song. It actually describes Jesus as the Light and emphasizes how His presence leads, guides, and brightens our lives. It’s a reminder of God's leadership and His role as the light of the world.

As Christians, it is our duty to let that light shine through us. Whether in our words, actions, or the way we treat others, we are meant to reflect the light of Jesus daily. We become rays of His light in a dark world.
