I remember the song "2002" by Anne-Marie, and I can relate to the songs it interpolates. Her song is about a love story remaining strong and the nostalgia of the year 2002.
Musically, 2002 was dominated by R&B, hip-hop, and rock, though pop music remained popular. Eminem became a top artist with his hit album The Eminem Show. He also starred in the blockbuster movie 8 Mile, and its soundtrack became a massive seller with him as the lead artist. Nelly also achieved major popularity with his Nellyville album, especially his hit "Dilemma" featuring Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland.
It was also a year when several top music groups went on hiatus. Destiny's Child members launched solo projects: Beyoncé released "Work It Out" from the soundtrack of Austin Powers in Goldmember, where she starred as Austin Powers' love interest; Kelly Rowland was featured on the global hit "Dilemma" and released her hit album Simply Deep; and Michelle Williams released her gospel album "Heart to Yours".
*NSYNC had also gone on hiatus while member Justin Timberlake released his debut solo album Justified, which became a global success. JC Chasez released his first solo single, "Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)" from the Drumline soundtrack, which became a Top 40 hit.
The Backstreet Boys went on hiatus after releasing their greatest hits album, The Hits – Chapter One, allowing Nick Carter to release his solo album Now or Never in 2002. While the album was certified Gold in the US, its lead single "Help Me" failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, though it became a Top 20 hit in the UK. Other artists who dominated the charts in 2002 included P!nk, Shakira, Linkin Park, Jennifer Lopez, and Britney Spears.

I'm glad that I feel better than yesterday. Probably I just needed rest, and it helped. Last night, we celebrated our wedding anniversary, a great time spent with family.
