It was one of those clear days. The sky was filled with light blue color. The city was as crowded as usual. The side parks are filled with cars. The buildings were all narrow shaped as they used to be. Yet, each one had held its different roof shape and color. They were all built side by side and all are facing one direction, which is the city square. In the city square, all bikes and motor bikes are parked there. There are so many of them, as many people prefer them over cars for the ease of finding a place to park them. In the middle of the city square, there is that grey stone statue which can be see from anywhere within this area. A young man is courting a girl as she looks away. It might seem funny for foreigners. But, to locals, they would know that there is a bit truth to it when compared to normal interactions between locals in this area. He felt pleased that coming back after all these years of being away, to a city that held its shape and still feels as home.

Era um daqueles dias claros. O céu estava tingido de um azul claro. A cidade estava tão movimentada como sempre. Os acostamentos estavam cheios de carros. Os prédios, com seu formato estreito característico, ainda mantinham o formato e a cor de seus telhados. Construídos lado a lado, todos apontavam para a mesma direção: a praça principal. Na praça, bicicletas e motos estavam estacionadas. Havia tantas, pois muitas pessoas as preferiam aos carros pela facilidade de encontrar vagas. No centro da praça, uma estátua de pedra cinza era visível de qualquer ponto da área. Nela, um jovem cortejava uma moça que desviava o olhar. Para estrangeiros, a cena poderia parecer engraçada, mas os moradores locais reconheceriam a verdade por trás das interações cotidianas na região. Ele se sentiu feliz por retornar, depois de tantos anos de ausência, a uma cidade que mantinha sua essência e ainda lhe transmitia a sensação de estar em casa.
