Trithemis aurora.

Yesterday afternoon when the sun was slightly down I took a photo of this beautiful little insect Such unknown guests in nature are all around us You just have to look carefully to know that this insect seen in the picture is a dragonfly In Bengali it is usually called a pharing but its specific name is Crimson Marsh Glider or the scientific name Trithemis aurora In Bengali many also call it a red pharing This grasshopper is easily seen because of its bright reddish color Its body is long and slender with a reddish-brown tint and transparent wings When sunlight falls on its wings a light golden shimmer can be seen While sitting on a leaf or branch of a tree this insect looks around very carefully and is very restless in nature but they remain still for some time I was able to take these photos during that time Grasshoppers are usually seen more near wetlands ponds or small water bodies in villages.

However they also easily take shelter in the bushes of trees especially during the rainy season When we were young many of us used to play with grasshoppers and were fascinated by their beautiful colors and flying posture These insects are also very beneficial for our environment They mainly eat small insects and spiders thus controlling the number of harmful insects and spiders In this picture you can see the red grasshopper sitting among the green leaves and dense bushes as if it were a colorful ornament of nature The red color is blended in such a way that many people may not see it unless they look at it once Nature is truly amazingly beautiful A story of a hundred colors that can be seen if you pay a little attention Another interesting aspect of grasshoppers is their flying posture They can fly very fast and then suddenly stop and stop in the air.

When the wings spread out in all directions and catch the sunlight it is a truly spectacular sight Many photographers love to take pictures of grasshoppers in flight because capturing the movement of their wings on camera is a challenge When I was taking this photograph I saw small birds butterflies and some unknown insects and spiders around me but this red grasshopper caught my eye It is impossible to capture such perfect beauty of nature without a camera in hand The life cycle of grasshoppers is also quite amazing They lay eggs in water bodies the larvae hatch from the eggs which live in the water and grow by eating small insects then spread their wings as full fledged grasshoppers and fly away to the world of plants So many changes in the life of a small animal are truly amazing.

Currently the number of grasshoppers has decreased in many places due to the decrease in water bodies canals and ponds but they still survive where there is vegetation and water As an integral part of nature we should help beneficial creatures like them survive We should never destroy insects and spiders without understanding their importance Love nature Take time out and take a walk in nature You will see small animals insects spiders and vegetation They will teach you how to live anew If you get the chance don't forget to take their pictures because each picture is not just a scene but also a story These pictures are not just some photographs for me but a quiet story of nature in the afternoon I hope you also like this photography of the red grasshopper that I took.
