This is my entry to the Battle Mage Secrets challenge from the Splinterlands team.
This week's theme is the Fire & Regret ruleset, so I would like to share a battle with it.

The battle ruleset

• 49 mana cap
• Ruleset - Counterspell and Fire & Regret
• Splinter - Earth/Life and Death
  

This is a high mana cap battle and it's quite challenge to choose the monsters. It seems melee monsters are the best choice because both Range and Magic monsters got the disavantage with the Rulesets.
So I decided to use Life Splinter in this battle because my monsters have strong armor and can stand longer in the battle if my opponent uses melee monsters.

My lineup

Summoner		Franz Ruffmane - to have 1 additional armor and can use Marisol Contuma Gladiator in the battle
1st position		Imperial Knight - good health and good armor to be the tank
2nd position		Marisol Contuma - high damage with high speed, he is my main damage dealer in this battle.
3rd position		Venari Marksrat - making the Fire&Regret becomes my advantage. This rat will get the return damage and die, then Marisol Contuma will be strengthened.
4th position		Armorsmith - I want to use him to protect my monsters on the battlefield.
5th position		Sandworm - to kill opponent's backline monster as fast as possible.
6th position		Iziar - she is latest legendary card. She can immune to Counterspell with her Void ability. In another hand, she has very high health and Taunt ability, so my frontline monsters can avoid some attacks.

My opponent also expected me using the melee monsters in the battle. So he has a very good strategy to against the melee monsters

• Mylor Crowling to deal return damage to my melee monsters.
• Disintergator to reduce my melee monster attack.
• Queen Mycelia to have 2 additional armors
• Mycelic Infantry with Shield ability

Luckily, my strategy worked well. Marisol Contuma can kill some monsters and got strongers. In late stage, he became unbeatable and I could win the game
