It's Worth More Being yourself

Trends, trends, trends everywhere.
These days most people especially the younger generation desperately want to follow the trends, blend in, be like someone so they can look cooler, probably the results of following an influencer. Don't get me wrong, getting inspired to be better is one of the best things social media has done for me. But I'm starting to see a fine line between getting inspired and trying to be like someone.

There's Social media, TV shows and advertisements, all constantly showing us what the ideal way to look, act or live is. I have to say, being yourself is far more valuable than trying to copy someone else.

In your attempt to imitate someone else you stand the risk of losing the thing that made you special. Regardless of your achievements and level in life, there's a gift we've all been given and that is the gift of uniqueness. The thing that makes you special can fade if you ignore it all in trying to look like something you've seen as a trend.

We all have our very own unique story, experiences and qualities, even weaknesses. No one can be you better than you can. If we copy others, we may appear to fit in but deep down we’re not being true to who we are. I'll reemphasize that copying something that'll improve who you are is different from trying to be someone else.

Being the original you doesn't mean rejecting others or their ideas or some impressive things about them which will add value to your life. What I really mean is you finding your own path while respecting the paths of others.

The world needs diversity to be beautiful and to thrive. Different opinions, talents and ways of thinking. The more you embrace your true self, the more you attract the people who appreciate you for who you are. And I tell you that's the best life to live, when you're you. You can give your best every single day because you're the best at being you.

Don't be afraid to be different. You stand out, not because you try to be noticed, but because your uniqueness speaks for itself.

Copying is not a bad thing anyways, but if you'll do it, do it to fit you, don't try do it exactly as someone else because you'll always try to keep up, it's just not who you really are.

The most important thing is not to compare yourself to others but to instead focus on what makes you happy, what you love to do and what feels right for you. When you are yourself, you give the world something only you can offer, your true self and I believe that's something priceless.
