Like It's Funny

No matter how long it takes or how much you try to get them to, some people will just not take your feelings seriously. Not talking about those that mess around with you jokingly, there are those you tend to care about who really don't give a damn how you feel at all.

Your struggles or problem are annoying to them when they hear you talk to them about it. They literally have zero sympathy or empathy for your plight.

No matter how much you love them, allowing such behavior around you can actually hurt your self esteem overtime. One sign you should look out for in people close to you is, do you always feel small or incompetent when they are around? Do they try to make you look stupid just so they look smarter or better?

Such people usually ignore your feelings or opinions almost always. You're never enough. You're being treated like a joke.

They make bizarre, discouraging or sarcastic jokes about the things that matter to you. They also tend to blame you the moment you react to their behavior.

After a while of dealing with such people, I've learned that arguing with them changes absolutely nothing. You can't change their opinions or perceptions about you, don't even bother.

You really don't have to prove anything to them. No need to prove how right you are or prove your worth to them. Leaving such people and focusing on the right things in your life is the only solution. That is even an act of self respect to your own self.

Your feelings matter and that's why you should surround yourself with people that think so. Otherwise you'll be caught in a situation of unfairness. You care for them, they don't care for you, kind of situation. You don't need to be angry to leave, with a sober calm mind, apply the wisdom and walk away. It'll save you a life time of needles worries.

Your life starts improving when you avoid constantly negativity. The right people will give you compliments and constructive criticism, meant to make you better by identifying your weaknesses and working on them.

The wrong people make remarks intended to discourage your every right move.

By leaving them, you show true strength. Quiting is not always a sign of weakness, it can be a sign of wisdom. Quiting the wrong thing takes more strength anyways.

If someone treats you like a joke, refuse to take you seriously, or doesn't care about you regardless of how much care you have for the person, your best option is to move on instead of trying to get that person to care. There are people in positions that can't be replaced. If it's a parent or a child or a relative, you can't leave them but you can choose not to seek their validation, that's a way of leaving without actually leaving.

If you make the attempt over and over and it doesn't work out, no need to keep going. If the relationship is valuable, the other party must recognize the value too.
