Beersaturday week 420: Let's go with "Origin"

avatar

‎In December 2013, a special beer was launched in Nigeria by Guinness breweries PLC right inside Ogun Lagos state Nigeria. The beer is the type that is designed or brewed targeting people that don't want to take in too much alcohol.

‎This particular beer is quite different from other beers because of its ingredients. The ingredients are organic base specially formulated with pure African herbs.

‎The beer am unveiling here is known as ORIGIN

‎Origin beer is of three types and they are Origin ready to drink, Origin bitters and Origin zero. In the future, I will also unveil all the brands. But, presently, am reviewing origin ready to drink brand which is the one I enjoyed this week. The design alone signifies how organic the product is. Take a look at the design.

‎Origin ready to drink beer is in green bottle of 6% ABV and in can of 330ml with 5.5% ABV. The taste is light bitter. Like I said earlier, this particular beer product is different from every other beer because it does not contain hops and Malted barley which are the major active ingredients present in almost every other beer. Now, let me gist you about it's active ingredients.

...........................................................................
Active ingredients
‎...........................................................................

‎- Water
‎- Alcohol
‎- Orange peel
‎- Oakwood
‎- Kola nut
‎- Prune

‎With the presence of all these ingredients in the beer, it tastes somehow like light bitter medicine in form of citrus fruits.

‎The color is wine red. The color alone is attractive that one can't overcome it's seduction. To make it's opening easier, the can have an automatic opener already made.

‎...........................................................................
Where and how I enjoyed my beer
‎...........................................................................
‎Today's weather was a bit hot and I spent it inside farm. As I came back, I took the beer which I purchased from Dikkies Supermarket yesterday while running spendhbd promotion for businesses to start accepting hbd and hive as mode of payment. My later post in spendhbd community will explain in details.

‎So I sat down in my house to enjoy the beer with unique ingredients. To enjoy it's bitter taste, enjoyed it along with snacks. Biscuit precisely.

‎The sweet bitter taste in my palate is refreshing that I felt like taking 2 cans. But hahaha 🤣 I couldn't because I purchased only but one can.

‎This is #beersaturday week and I would like to invite @ijebest to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures

A drink with character and depth. The fact that it skips hops and malted barley makes it even more unique. Cheers!

On point!

Initially, little did I know that there is a beer in our locality that doesn't contain hops and barley. Thanks to @detlev for creating this beer community for us. It is an eye opener.

The beer is the type that is designed or brewed targeting people that don't want to take in too much alcohol.

5.5% ABV is above average for common industrial beers.

Besides, it is clearly not beer.
