Dolls aren't creepy: Dolls aren't scary. Baku.
2016, saw the opening of the exhibition “Doll in Art” at the Heydar Aliyev Centre.
The exhibition displays 230 dolls and handicrafts of 60 artists from 16 countries.
A wonderful exhibition of art a huge room of dolls and puppets, so let's go snap some art.
Pediophobia: The fear of dolls
Pupaphobia: The fear of puppets
Most of these works of art on display are one offs, they would have a high monetary value if ever sold I am sure. A lot too have won prizes at international doll festivals,
The figures are contain characters from fairy stories, movies, and literary works, and sometimes just from the creators imagination
The dolls are made of many different mediums; porcelain, paper, plastic, wood and various fabrics and some have nice pert boobies too
A proper dandy the expression says so much
I don't think I saw any of these dolls being taller than 12",
The skill of the creator, especially this exhibit is phenomenal, the facial detail is stunning, I wonder if it has been 3D printed or something.
About 12 months ago I bought a nice big rubber hood to slip on for when the need arises.
No people, not a gimp mask,(I prefer leather), but an anti reflection lens hood. As these exhibits were all behind glass with different light sources i shoved it on, have to say it was worth the investment as I personally am happy with the work it did.

Interesting exhibition! Nice as artistic creation, some are scary 😦
Chers @aljif7
Hello, Thanks for sharing your nice photos, but as I look for the other pictures it's scarry. I figured it out in a horror movie or in a horror booth.
cheers @daileen23

Quite an unusual exhibition of very creative art!
Some dolls are creepy, and some are scary! I had 'Pediophobia' as a child after listening to a radio drama, The Creaking Door😅 The doll used to go out at night and strangle people in their beds😂 Did not know there was a name for that kind of fear.
Have a great weekend @grindle!
Cheers @lizelle I guess that would be quite impressionable at a young age, have a great week ahead
Very impressionable, still am, have an overactive imagination😂

Best regards, I enjoyed every single one of the photographs, so realistic. I also asked myself the same question? 3d
Cheers @cositav thanks for the positive vibes, 3D potentially in some I gues
they look cute but they are also looks creepy and scary..😊
The dolls are unique and interesting, but as someone who isn't used to see such kind of dolls, it makes me scared😄.
LOl ovrercome your fears @femelyn.blog they are cute and cuddly
I love this type of exhibition. I once tried to take a photo of miniature dolls with all their furniture, but the owner of the exhibition got upset, so since then I've refrained from taking photos and just admire them. :))
I've never suffered from that kind of phobia, but if you ask me, I'd rather not have this kind of art in my house—just looking at them scares me!
The pictures turned out great! That anti-glare lens cap does a really good job 👍
I looked them up online and they look like plungers for unclogging pipes. I can imagine how you stuck to those glass boxes to get photos of this quality! It was well worth it.
Have a nice Sunday! ✨

Cheers @mballesteros thanks for dropping in, loving your positive vibes and yes it is like a sink plunger, but great bit of kit. Good to see the @topcomment reward, I was just about to nominate you too!
Oh… I’ve just uncovered another chilling fact about that Centre, designed by architect Zaha Hadid. I won’t deny it’s splendid, but I now see it also became a torture chamber for those with a fear of dolls... Pediophobia… Hahaha... OMG. Though all those dolls have great charm.
LOL, got me there! Thought what have I missed LOL
Lovely are they not!
