Most Upcoming Artists Chase Fame, Not Passion The 80/20 (%) Truth.

Hello everyone welcome to my blog & welcome to Afri-inleo Initiative 52 and the prompt topic is “Which Drives Upcoming Artist the Most: Passion or Fame?

From our given topic Passion and Fame are two different words with different meanings and I can proudly say that out of 100 percent of upcoming artists 80 percent are after fame while 20 percent are after passion. Reasons why I say 80% of upcoming artist are after the fame, they are not passionate about music, they always want to showcase their talent even with many lapses and they easily charge to do a little performance which most of the people I know today that are famous through music, what drives them is the passion they have for it.

I heard stories of some of the famous music artists while they’re upcoming. Some of them used to sleep in the studio, some of them take their time to score and while doing anything music must be part of it. And most of them then doesnt charge to perform because they are passionate, they just want to use their craft to put smiles on peoples faces. And upcoming then take their time to meditate and come up with a good song that after listening to the song you will be touched emotionally, mentally or otherwise but upcoming artists now will just go to the studio and start recording rubbish because they are after fame.
20 percent of artists that go after passion you will see them making a difference in the world of music, even if they don’t feel like doing music there’s an inner calling to create, to express and to connect with people through music that keeps bothering them.

Passion is what fuels persistence and it’s what can keep an artist up at night, meditating and working on lyrics, beats, melodies and all other music terms . It is passion that makes an upcoming artist honours an invitation without pay and he is happy with that, you see some organize street music and create online platforms to share their talent for free. It was with time that their effort was appreciated.

I have noticed most of the 80 percent upcoming artists that are driven by fame, most of them gave up early when they faced rejection, lack of recognition or criticism.
Though, upcoming artists often go through intense periods of struggles financially and some lacks support and they faced competition and emotional stress are part of the journey of a upcoming artist what will keep such a person going is his passion, and that passion is internally which will help you overcome all the obstacles and you keep your gaze on the track.
Only passion can allow you to find joy in the process while going through all this. People will still find you rejoicing and happy because what you are doing gives you a sense of purpose and identity, you love what you are doing.

I am not saying it’s wrong for an upcoming artist to desire recognition or success. For most upcoming artists fame is their final destination which is not supposed to be so while the 20 percent they sees fame as a possible byproduct for assisting them to work passionately in their purpose.

In conclusion fame should not be what drives upcoming artists but passion because only passion can help them endure the tough and challenging times and continue to grow in their skills. Just note that fame may come and go but passion is what sustains the journey.
