Hello everyone,
It’s another beautiful day with Hive Music Festival Week 131, Round 2. For this week’s rendition, I’m delighted to present the song You Are the Most High by Flavour and Semah.
Flavour is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. While most of his songs are secular, this particular one stands out as it was sung to the glory of God, and I must say, I enjoyed it from start to finish.
Flavour is undeniably a talented artist, you can feel it in his voice and in the way he delivers his songs. What makes this track even more emotional is his decision to feature Semah, a visually impaired boy. Seeing someone like Semah still praising God and acknowledging His power to make the blind see and the lame walk really challenged me. It touched my heart and strengthened my faith. If someone who is blind can recognize God as a miracle worker, then who am I not to accept that truth and worship Him as I should?
I also want to commend the effort put into producing this song by Flavour, Semah, and the sound engineer. Everything came together beautifully. The sound and vocals blended so well. Both Semah and Flavour clearly understand musical concepts, their timing, calm delivery, and emotional control were just perfect. There was no unnecessary noise or interruptions, and the audio setup was spot on. Kudos to the sound engineer, I may not know who he is , but I must say that his work truly made a difference.
