The lies are different at every level.
The lies you need to believe to be the ceo of a corporation and the lies you need to believe to join the military to support ceo's being on top of the pile of crapitalism are very different.

When I went all duty, honor, country I barely had any concepts of what those were, I was just in favor of justifiable homicides.

Luckily, that wasn't my destiny.
I got out before I had to kill people.
My unit was leading the material movements.
I had no idea all this was coming, I just knew I couldn't take the cheese dicking any more.

I'd already learned that rule by force wasn't the way to utopia.
Ideas are terrible things to have when not knowing is how the reality around you was built.
You might 'know the truth', but few, if any, around you will.
The allure of the flashylight boxes is too strong.

I have family that stuck it out, from what they tell me, the contract has been changed quite a bit since I was in, I'd be madder if I had stayed.
Presuming I'd survive the lottery.
No guarantees you come back home, eh?

So, the lies that are passing for truth in the halls of power are different than the lies it takes to be a sh citizen.

For instance, to be a citizen is to owe a duty of allegiance in return for a duty of protection.
The gov't protects you, you give fealty.
But, the scotus has been clear that the police have no duty to protect.
This is 'well settled' law from the 50's.

But, you still believe the lie that the gov't is here to protect you, don't you?

Don't feel bad, we all have been living in an illusion since at least the mass adoption of the flashylight boxes.
It's hard to hold onto reality when your greatest pleasure in life is to escape it, if only for a half hour at a time.
