Here is a short story that you might find addresses what 'we' will need to do in the next little while.
If authoritarians can hire no thugs to hit you with a stick, or worse, then all their plans of world domination will never happen.
You know you want to dominate the world with violence, 'Off with their heads!'.
We all go through delusions like that.
The trick is in realizing that it is a pipe dream, and not a reality that you would really want.
'Good people' don't want power over their neighbors.
Most people don't pick up sticks and farm their neighbors, either.
But, most people do support some people picking up sticks and farming everybody because reasons.
It is called statism.
Authoritarianism.
Totalitarianism.
And more.
You know you engage in flights of fancy that are totally unrealistic.
So do others, except they are in positions to make their delusions realities where you are not.
Who do you think floats to the top of a system that whacks its leader, multiple times, lies about it, and moves forward with plans that include your demise?
People that are in a position to make their delusions reality.
People that think hitting the neighbors with sticks to gain their compliance is just the way things are done.
People that go along to get along.
The way out of this mess, that you conformists have us wrapped up in, is illustrated in this short story.
If you can't think of any good ideas of how to solve this on your own, use one that E. F. Russell thought of 60 years ago, eh?
